U4GM How to Farm Diablo 4 Goblins with Treasure Breach Guide

Most people are about to treat the Diablo 4 Goblin Event like a sightseeing tour: ride around, dip into Helltides, hope a portal pops. I used to do that too, and it always felt weirdly slow. If you want to prep like you actually mean it, start with what you already own—your Nightmare Sigils—and keep an eye on your stash alongside anything else you're saving, like Diablo 4 Items you might be hunting for during the event.

Why RNG Farming Feels Bad

Open-world goblin hunting is a mood until it isn't. You'll have runs where you see three goblins in ten minutes, then nothing for half an hour. That's the problem: you're outsourcing your progress to random spawns and other players. And when the event's live, the map gets busy. People cut you off, portals vanish, and you end up doing more riding than looting. It's not that Helltides are useless—they're fine—but "fine" won't keep up with a reputation track when you're trying to push it fast.

The Sigil Affix You Actually Want

Here's the part a lot of players miss because they're fixated on tier level or scared of annoying modifiers. What matters is a positive affix called Treasure Breach. When a key rolls it, the whole dungeon vibe changes. You're not praying for one lucky goblin; you're walking into a place that naturally coughs up more goblins over the run. More goblins means more event currency, more drops, more consistent momentum. It's controlled farming, and it feels way better than doing loops outside and hoping the game likes you today.

Prep Now, Not When the Event Starts

Do this in order: 1) log in and open your inventory. 2) check every Nightmare Sigil you've got, slowly, like you're looking for a good roll on gear. 3) if you see Treasure Breach in green text, don't pop it for casual glyph XP and don't salvage it at the Occultist. Lock it, stash it, whatever you do—just don't lose it. A small pile is good. A big pile is the whole strategy. When the event hits, you'll chain those dungeons back-to-back, clear the goblin-heavy sections, grab currency, reset, and go again. That loop gets you to the reward track prize—yeah, the Resplendent Spark—without the usual wandering around and "where are they?" nonsense.

Keeping the Loop Smooth

Bring a build that moves well and deletes small packs fast, because the point is tempo. Don't overthink perfect clears; you're there for goblins and the event progress, not a museum tour of every corridor. If a sigil has a modifier you hate, skip it, but don't be precious—your stockpile is what gives you options. You'll notice the difference after a few runs: less downtime, fewer dead stretches, and a steady drip of rewards that feels earned. And when you're sorting loot between dungeons, it's a lot easier to stay focused if you've already decided what you're chasing, whether that's upgrades, materials, or checking prices on D4 items for sale to round out a build before the grind really kicks off.
